Armagnac is a French wine distillate with a registered designation of origin produced in the historical region of Gascony, divided between the departments of Landes, Gers and Lot-et-Garonne in the south-west of France. It takes its name from the old county of Armagnac, whose historical territory corresponds to the current production area.
