Gin Infused with Sugar Kelp - Isle of Harris

 Harris Gin is produced by Isle of Harris Distillers Ltd in Tarbert, on the Isle of Harris in the Scottish Outer Hebrides. This gin was created with the aim of expressing the natural essence of the island, combining classic botanicals with local ingredients that recall the archipelago's wild, marine landscape.
 The defining ingredient of this gin is Sugar Kelp, hand-harvested from the clear waters of the Hebrides. This unique botanical gives the spirit a subtle marine note and an aromatic complexity that sets Harris Gin apart from other contemporary gins.

 Botanicals: Juniper berries, coriander, angelica root and other traditional botanicals enhanced with hand-harvested Sugar Kelp from the waters of the Hebrides.
 Production process: Distillation takes place in copper pot stills using traditional methods. The water used to reduce the strength comes from the local Abhainn Cnoc spring, contributing to the purity and freshness of the distillate.

 Tasting Notes: Appearance: Crystalline and brilliant. Nose: Aromas of juniper and pine with citrus notes of lime and grapefruit, accompanied by floral nuances of rose and coriander. Palate: Fresh and dry, with light umami notes from the sugar kelp and a delicate touch of spice. The finish is long and harmonious, with hints of citrus zest and a subtle vanilla softness.

 Serving suggestion: Ideal enjoyed over ice to appreciate its aromatic complexity, or in classic cocktails like the Martini. Also excellent in Gin and Tonics with neutral tonics and garnished with grapefruit or lime zest to enhance the citrus and marine notes.
