Granaccia Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC – Cantina Sancho
Cantina Sancio's Granaccia Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC originates from the terraced vineyards of the Ligurian Riviera, where the Granaccia grape—also known as Alicante—finds ideal conditions thanks to well-drained soil, strong sun exposure, and the influence of the maritime climate. This historic grape variety of Western Liguria produces wines of great character, with a substantial structure and a rich aromatic expression that recalls the winemaking tradition of the Ligurian coast.

The Winery: The company's roots lie in the Cappellania estate on the hills above Spotorno, where almost fifty years ago Mario Sancio began cultivating his first vines and producing Pigato. Over time, the company has grown while maintaining strong ties to the Ligurian Riviera. Today, Sancio Azienda Agricola cultivates approximately 6 hectares of vineyards spread across Spotorno, Vezzi San Giorgio, Orco Feglino, Finale Ligure, and Celle Ligure, with an annual production of approximately 45,000 bottles that express the authentic character of the area.
