 The whiskies of The Macallan, founded by Alexander Reid in 1824, are among the most sought-after in the world. This single malt matures in a single sherry cask and is bottled by Samaroli as part of the Magnifico series.

 Tasting Notes: Bright amber color. Sweet aromas of honey, vanilla, heather, ripe pears, and licorice. Full-bodied, powerful, and delicate flavor, with notes of honey and heather, and a light fruitiness of ripe pears. Long-lasting, smooth, and elegant finish.

 The Distillery: A pioneer of single malt whisky, Samaroli, who had been selecting whisky in Scotland since the 1960s to promote it on the Italian and international markets, over a 50-year career, has become synonymous with prestigious spirits. After decades spent at the distillery, he was known to all as the Lord of Spirits. Silvano Samaroli, born in Benghazi in 1939, was originally from Bologna, but his heart, his elective affinity with a tradition he would become an ambassador for in Italy and around the world, had led him to establish a special connection with Scotland, the Highlands where malt whisky is born. Since the 1960s (the first company, Samaroli Srl Wine & Spirits Merchants, was founded in 1968), it had become the name par excellence for single malt whisky, whiskies selected in Scotland and bottled under the Samaroli label.
