 Cantina Sancio's Vermentino Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC comes from the terraced vineyards of the Ligurian Riviera, where the maritime climate and mineral soils favor the production of fresh, aromatic white wines. Vermentino is one of the Ligurian coast's most iconic grape varieties, and in these hills overlooking the sea, it expresses great elegance, flavor, and a distinct territorial character.

 Tasting Notes: It has a bright straw yellow color. The nose reveals a persistent fruitiness with elegant citrus notes. On the palate, it expresses a pleasant minerality accompanied by a pronounced savory finish that gives the wine balance and freshness.

 Pairings: Ideal with even elaborate fish dishes, fish soups, and shellfish. Perfect with Mediterranean cuisine and traditional Ligurian seafood dishes.

 Cultivation: Vermentino is grown in terraced vineyards with an average density of around 4,000 vines per hectare and a production of around 90 quintals of grapes.
 Harvest: The harvest is done manually in the first half of September with selection of the grapes and rapid delivery to the cellar.
 Vinification: White vinification with soft pressing and fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature.
 Maturation: Approximately four months on the lees.
 Aging: Two months in bottle before being released for sale.

 The Winery: The company's roots lie in the Cappellania estate on the hills above Spotorno, where almost fifty years ago Mario Sancio began cultivating his first vines and producing Pigato. Over time, the company has grown while maintaining strong ties to the Ligurian Riviera. Today, Sancio Azienda Agricola cultivates approximately 6 hectares of vineyards spread across Spotorno, Vezzi San Giorgio, Orco Feglino, Finale Ligure, and Celle Ligure, with an annual production of approximately 45,000 bottles that express the authentic character of the Ligurian Riviera.
